February 7 Devotional

My Dear Beloved,

The last 48 hours have been quite amazing for me personally and spiritually.  On the outside, it would appear that everything is “normal”.  However, I can assure you that God is at work in my life and yours.  After the humbling and spirit-filled worship we had on Sunday, I’ve had some personal encounters with various people and is seems as though God is speaking through these “chance” encounters.  I had two yesterday and then another one this morning with, of all people, home appraisers!  Two great Christian folks who spoke openly about their faith as they went about their job of measuring and taking pictures of my house.  Little did they know that they blessed me and encouraged me.  Funny how God works in us, through us and through the lives of others.  Be a blessing to someone today!  In Christ and In Love, Scott

Come To Me For Rest and refreshment.  The journey has been much for you, and you are bone-weary.  Do not be ashamed of your exhaustion.  Instead, see it as an opportunity for Me to take charge of your life.

Remember that I can fit everything into a pattern for good, including the things you wish were different.  Start with where you are at this point in time and space, accepting that this is where I intended you to be.  You will get through today one step, one moment, at a time.  Your main responsibility is to remain attentive to Me, letting Me guide you through the many choices along your pathway.

This sounds like an easy assignment, but it is not.  Your desire to live in My Presence goes against the grain of “the world, the flesh, and the devil.”  Much of your weariness results from your constant battle against these opponents.  However, you are on the path of My choosing, so do not give up!  Hope in Me, for you will again praise Me for the help of My Presence.

Romans 8:28 (AMP) 28We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.

Psalm 42:11 (NASB)
11Why are you in despair, O my soul?  And why have you become disturbed within me?  Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.
