April 22 Devotional

Dear Friends,
I want to thank each and every one of your for your faithfulness and dedication to our Easter services this past week.  Thousands were moved as you played and sang in worship at 8:15 and 11.  Many have written emails and cards to express their gratitude to you for your music.  For me, it was probably the best Easter services ever…from the first note being rung to the sermon, to the last “Hallelujah” being sung, God was with us and was glorified.  Often, the Sunday after Easter is a bit anti-climatic, but not THIS time!  We’ll have guest singers from Zambia helping to lead in all our services, so that will definitely be a treat.  Choir and orchestra are still needed, but relax a bit as there is no anthem.  However, don’t forget about the Confirmation service at 3pm on Sunday.  What a wonderful treat to be a part of over 100 youth saying “yes” to God and singing “I Believe, I Believe”!  God is with us.  Listen to His voice and enjoy being a part of the Kingdom work being done in you and through you.  Peace and Love, Scott

Listen To Me Continually.  I have much to communicate to you, so many people and situations in need of prayer.  I am training you to set your mind on Me more and more, tuning out distractions through the help of My Spirit.

Walk with Me in holy trust, responding to My initiatives rather than trying to make things fit your plans.  I died to set you free, and that includes freedom from compulsive planning.  When your mind spins with a multitude of thoughts, you cannot hear My voice.  A mind preoccupied with planning pays homage to the idol of control.  Turn from this idolatry back to Me.  Listen to Me and live abundantly!

John 8:36 36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Proverbs 19:21
21 Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.

John 10:27
27My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
